It was just announced through a video to fans that as of April 24, the Resident Evil 7 DLC “Not A Hero” will be delayed. The initial release for this Spring has been pushed back to an unknown date to what Producer, Masachika Kawata, and Director, Koshi Nakanishi, frame as the DLC not matching the quality of the main game. Executive Producer Jun Takeuchi commented after this by seconding the decision. Takeuchi followed this by also saying that the team is working on more DLC content to be released alongside Not A Hero, but not said whether or not this will be free as well. However long this will take is unknown, but many would prefer a complete piece of work to one rushed. Resident Evil 7 did well in reviews, so fans should be content to waiting in the face of this setback.
